Guardians Family Business Coaching

About Us
Mountz Family Business Advisors was founded with a deeply personal mission—to help family businesses thrive by leveraging our firsthand experience in ownership, growth, and transition. Our family business journey began in 1963 when our first organization was established, and through strategic planning, strong leadership, and the support of trusted advisors, we successfully scaled and were acquired by a leading industry player.

Now, three generations later, we have launched our second family business, dedicated to guiding other family-owned companies through their unique challenges and opportunities. With a deep understanding of family business dynamics—having experienced them firsthand—we provide expert coaching, strategic planning, and leadership development to ensure long-term success. Our passion is helping business owners strengthen their legacy, navigate transitions, and achieve their highest potential.

Why Partner With Us?
Running a family business can be challenging, affecting both your health and family relationships. It can create stress and tension that may even disrupt vacations or harm personal connections. If you're facing similar struggles today, the good news is that solutions are available.

Achieving personal and business harmony is possible, but it requires a mindset shift—and sometimes, the right guidance. Running a business can feel isolating, with few people to confide in about your deepest concerns, dreams, and plans for the future. Whether you’re thinking about growth, succession, or selling, the good news is that it’s all achievable. We did it, and so can you.

This is why my daughter Olivia and I launched our consulting firm: to help hardworking family businesses unlock their full potential. We focus on offering fresh perspectives and guiding clients to see opportunities they may have overlooked.

Transforming my business into a thriving organization wasn’t easy, but with the right advocacy, it became a company I truly enjoyed running—a place where people were engaged and a business that strategic buyers wanted.
At our core, we specialize in strategy, but we know that many family businesses need structure. Often, the key to growth is asking and answering the right questions, questions that are often overlooked in the day-to-day demands of running a business. It wasn’t until I made time to focus on these crucial questions that I unlocked the success and excitement we’d dreamed of when we first started.
